Jupiter Police are investigating an armed robbery where the suspect shot the victim in the leg.

On July 31, 2015, at 3:49AM, members of the Jupiter Police Department responded to 6760 West Indiantown Road (McDonalds) in regards to a reported armed robbery. A preliminary investigation has revealed the victim was approached while in her vehicle by several black males between the ages of eighteen to twenty years old. Two of the unknown subjects demanded property from the victim and a firearm was displayed. During the confrontation, a shot was fired and the victim was struck in the leg causing a non-life-threating injury. The victim was able to drive away from the location as the subjects fled the area with the victim’s property. The victim was transported to the Jupiter Medical Center for treatment and later released. This incident is currently under investigation and at this time does not appear to be a random act of violence.
