Riviera Beach Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday morning on Avenue ‘E’

Riviera Police request the public’s assistance to identify two suspects (photos attached) in a homicide that occurred Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 2701 Avenue ‘E’.  These two men are “Persons of Interest” in this case.

 

Mr. Stephen Griffith, 45 years-old, spoke with and struggled with two young males before being shot and left lying on the sidewalk outside of his apartment about 5:00 AM. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The two men were seen running from the crime scene immediately after Mr. Griffith was shot.

 

After responding to a report of “Shots Fired” at 2701 Avenue ‘E’, Police found Mr. Stephen Griffith (DOB 1/2/70) lying outside the door of apartment #1A. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Griffith had been shot. Witnesses report Mr. Griffith was approached and spoken to by two Black males as he stood outside. A struggle occurred and ended with Mr. Griffith being shot. The two suspects left the scene on foot in a northbound direction.
