Riviera Beach Police Department are investigating the homicide of Connis Robinson.

Riviera Beach Police are investigating a Shooting Incident that led to the death of Mr. Connis Robinson (DOB 5/5/1990) early today (August 12, 2015). On August 11, 2015, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Police Officers responded to 2501 Old Dixie Highway (Touchdown Food Market) in reference to a reported shooting. While Officers were responding, the Shot Spotter Gun fire detection system alerted that seven (7) gunshots were fired in that area. As Officers arrived near the scene, they observed a silver sedan that was involved in a crash at the intersection of West Blue Heron Boulevard and Old Dixie Highway. The vehicle had several bullet impact holes on the passenger side. Mr. Connis Robinson, who was occupying the front passenger seat of the vehicle, had been severely injured by gunfire. Mr. Robinson was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by Riviera Beach Fire Rescue. He died from his injuries early today. According to witnesses, Mr. Robinson was seated in the passenger seat of the silver sedan while it was parked in front of Touchdown Food Store. The suspect in the shooting approached the door where Mr. Robinson was sitting. The suspect then removed a gun from his right waistband and fired several rounds at Mr. Robinson from approximately two to three feet. The suspect then fled the area on foot towards West 25th Street to a possible awaiting vehicle. The suspect is described as a Black male with a low crop haircut, wearing a black t-shirt and tan or camouflage pants. It is believed that the suspect had been dropped off from a grey 4 door sedan at the rear of 1000 W. Blue Heron Boulevard (the Chevron Gas Station) and then walked up to the 2501 Old Dixie Hwy.
