Delray Beach Police need the public’s assistance identifying an armed robbery suspect at Publix.

Anyone recognize this plaid-clad crook? DBPD detectives say he robbed a Publix employee Wednesday evening after lifting up his shirt and showing the man a gun. Around 8:20 p.m., the criminal walked into the store at 4771 W. Atlantic Avenue and asked the customer service cashier for two cartons of cigarettes. When the employee complied, the man lifted his shirt, showed the gun, and demanded money. The employee gave him cash, along with a carton of Newports and a carton of Marlboro Lights in a plastic bag. He was wearing a plaid hat, blue shirt, plaid shorts and white shoes.
