Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office is investigating an attempted abduction in Royal Palm Beach

PBSO responded to the 100 block of La Mancha Avenue in Royal Palm Beach in reference to a reported attempted abduction. Fourteen year old W/F juvenile, D.O.B. 08/1998, said that at approximately 5:00 p.m. 9-21-12, she was walking in the area of 244 La Mancha Avenue when an unknown make/model white van pulled into a driveway in front of her. A w/m subject exited the passenger door and began to walk towards her. As he approached her she said that he grabbed her by her arm and tried to pull her towards him. She said she kicked the subject and broke free. The incident was reported about 15 minutes later. The suspect is described as a w/m, approximately 30-40 years old, 6-00, 190 lbs., with blue eyes, dark brown ‘greasy’ hair and bushy eyebrows. He was wearing a black t-shirt and possibly blue jeans. The van was described as being a white full size work type vehicle. She reported the van had a Florida license plate and recalled seeing an ‘M’ and a ‘5’ but nothing further. Investigation continues. No additional information at this time.
