FBI are investigating a bank robbery in Delray Beach

Federal Bureau of Investigation detectives and Delray Beach Police continue to investigate an armed bank robbery this morning where two robbers wearing what appears to be wigs demanded money from a bank teller and fled.

Around 8:40 a.m., Delray Beach Police were called to the TD Bank located at 969 Southeast Fifth Ave., a police spokeswoman said.

The bank is located north of Linton Boulevard and just off of Federal Highway.

Two alleged robbers, who appear to be men wearing wigs and sunglasses, entered the bank and displayed guns, according to a statement released this afternoon by an FBI spokesman.

The two robbers demanded money from a bank employee and fled once they were given it.
