The deceased man found in a white van parked at the Shell Gas Station in Riviera Beach last week has been identified as Billy Joe Johnson. The cause of death has not been released.

On October 24, 2014 at approximately 5:45 PM, Officers of the Riviera Beach Police Department were dispatched to the Shell Gas Station, located at 7290 Central Industrial, in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked on the premises. On arrival, Officers located a white Chevrolet van  parked on the southside of the premises. The van had been parked at that location for approximately two or three days. Investigation revealed that the single occupant, Billy Joe Johnson, was deceased. Medical Examiner’s Office personnel responded to the scene. Johnson’s family was notified. No foul play is suspected at this time. Investigation is still ongoing.
