Riviera Beach Police are investigating the death of a 52 year-old Gary Garvin who was found in the 500 block of West 5th Street early this morning. At approximately 1:31 AM, a Police Sergeant on routine patrol heard several shots fired near Old Dixie Highway and West 5th Street. On scene he found one male who had been shot and two other males who said shots were fired at them by someone in a gray vehicle. The victim who had been shot was transported to the hospital by Riviera Beach Fire Rescue. He was pronounced dead at the hospital approximately two hours later.
