On Sunday, January 23, 2010, at approximately 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Lakeside Medical Center in reference to the death of, B/M, Reginal Mila, DOB: 12/07/84 of Belle Glade. When deputies arrived at Lakeside Medical Center they learned from emergency room personnel that Mila was the victim of a shooting.
Our investigation determined that Mila was driving his F-150 in the 600 block of SW Martin Luther King Blvd when unknown assailants, shot at Mila striking him multiple times. Mila’s vehicle struck a building – then a vehicle, white Mitsubishi Gallant, traveling east in the intersection of the 300 block of SW 6th and 600 block of SW MLK, Belle Glade. When Mila’s vehicle came to rest a group of unknown males took possession of Mila and transported him to Lakeside Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
No suspect information is known at this time.
