Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect Wanted for Carjacking a Victim in Unincorporated Boynton Beach

On Monday, October 8, 2012, at approximately 7:22 am, the victim was stopped in traffic when a white male suspect got into the rear driver’s side of the vehicle and stated, “Drive or I’ll shoot you”.  No firearm was seen. The suspect ordered the victim to drive north to Ormond Beach, Florida.  Once they arrived the suspect ordered the victim to pull over on the side of I-95.  At that time, the suspect began to search the victim’s vehicle for valuables. While they were both standing outside of the vehicle, the victim pushed the suspect down the embankment and ran back to his vehicle and drove to the nearest exit for help.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his mid-forties; brown hair and a long un-kept mustache and beard that extended down his chest.  A light colored streak was seen on the beard at the right corner of the suspect’s mouth. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark high cut pants with construction boots that had no laces. The clothing appeared to be dirty and worn. The suspect had a strong foul odor and was possibly a vagrant.
