On Thursday, July 18, 2013, shortly before 7:00 pm, deputies responded to shots fired in the area of Jog Road, Southern Blvd and Belvedere Road, WPB. What we know so far is, two adults and a child were traveling westbound on Southern Blvd, in a silver Chevy 4 door vehicle, when for unknown reasons a small vehicle, with dark tinted windows, drove by shooting at the victims numerous times. The adult driver and child sitting in the back seat (between the age of 8 and 10) were struck by gunfire. The adult passenger was not struck. The driver/victim then drove to the intersection of Jog Road and Belvedere Road to seek assistance from a deputy in the area. Both victims were conscious and talking at the time deputies and fire rescue personnel encountered them. Both victims were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center. Both expected to survive.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2013 Nissan Altima Silver/Grey in color with possible tinted windows. The vehicle may be missing the passenger side mirror.
