The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department seeking man who stole $38K ring from Gardens Mall

Palm Beach Gardens police are seeking additional help from the public in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole a $38,000 ring in April from the Mayor’s Jewelry Store at the Gardens Mall.

The suspect entered the store the night of April 17 and asked a sales associate in the bridal jewelry section to show him a ring that he said he was interested in buying. After the employee handed the man the ring, he ran out of the store toward Nordstrom’s, police said.

The ring was described as 2.38 carat, radiant cut, light-yellow diamond, with a platinum band. The ring was valued at $37,900. The suspect is described as being in his mid 30s to early 40s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds.
