West Palm Beach Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on I-95

American Heritage High School star running back Greg Bryant Jr., who played two years at Notre Dame, has been declared brain-dead, the result of gunshot wounds sustained early Saturday morning, according to West Palm Beach Police.

Detective Lori Colombino said the investigation is now reclassified as a homicide.

Bryant, 21, and Maurice Grover, 25, both of Delray Beach, were found in a black, four-door Chrysler near the Forest Hill exit on southbound Interstate 95 around 4:45 a.m.

Grover had minor injuries. Bryant, the driver, was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition. He was declared brain-dead around 1 p.m. Sunday.

There’s no known motive for the double shooting, said police. Colombino said detectives are seeking witnesses.
