On Tuesday, November 16th at approximately 1:30 pm, deputies responded to a shooting on Brentwood Blvd, unincorporated Lake Worth. Upon arrival, deputies located a male in a vehicle, deceased from gunshot wound(s). Investigation found that the victim and his mother were traveling home after shopping at a local department store when they came across a group of individuals and a vehicle stopped in the roadway.  As the victim was driving around the stopped vehicle (simultaneously) an individual discharged a firearm striking the victim/driver.  Detectives believe the victim was not the intended target.

Detectives are investigating this shooting as a homicide.

The family has invoked Marsy’s Law, therefore, the victim’s name will not be released.
