Still no arrests 2 years after Irma Simeus murder

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – Javon Simeus may seem like a carefree first grader, but when he sits in his suburban West Palm Beach home, with walls covered with pictures of his mother Irma Simeus, the haunting truth of why grandma takes care of him comes to light.

The six-year-old says, “That bad people tried to get Irma…and Irma had blood everywhere.”

It was a gruesome scene.

The 22-year-old’s body was found stuffed in the trunk of her Honda Civic and abandoned not far from her home.

The discovery was made after she told her mother she was going out to meet friends.

Charite Simeus never asked who they were and two years later she wonders if she will ever know what happened the night of September 6, 2008.

The victim’s mother explains, “Maybe I will never see justice but, doesn’t matter, whoever did that to her God will give what he deserves.”

But the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office wants more than that.

Investigators say they are still actively searching for the killer but have no new leads.

Charite Simeus says, “I would like to know who did that you know why because no matter what she did she didn’t deserve to die the way she did.”

Maybe knowing will help this family heal and will help calm Javon’s relentless questions.

“He ask me when God gonna fix his mom so she can come back,” Charite Simeus explains.
