The victim of a Homicide that occurred around 1:30 AM today has been identified as Darrell Wells (DOB 9/11/79) of Riviera Beach.

On January 20, 2017, at approximately 1:30 AM, Shot Spotter detected multiple gun shots fired in the 100 block of West 15th Street. As officers arrived on scene they observed an unidentified male lying in a grassy area near 140 West 15th Street. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Witness statements indicate the victim may have been involved in a verbal altercation prior to shots being fired. A clear motive has not yet been confirmed.
