Riviera Beach Police are investigating a homicide on West 36th Street.

A man who was shot Tuesday, July 17th died after being transported to the hospital.

Riviera Beach Police arrived at 1333 West 36th Street at approximately 11:08 AM in response to a shots fired alert from Shot Spotter Technology. They observed a black Toyota Avalon with multiple projectile markings on the driver’s side. The vehicle was parked within the yard of 1333 West 36th Street. Moments later, police dispatch received information that there was a shooting victim at St. Mary’s hospital. He had been transported by private vehicle. The victim, Kevin Humphrey (DOB 5/12/91), later died from his injuries.

Initial investigation led police to believe Humphrey was shot by a lone suspect who left the scene before police arrived.
