On Friday, August 3 2012, at approximately 9:25 pm, deputies responded to a hit & run accident that occurred on 45th Street and Australian Ave, Mangonia Park. What we know so far is, the victim was riding his bicycle attempting to cross the street when witnesses say he was struck by a white pick-up truck, with a metal tool box in the rear and a ladder on top. The pick-up truck was last seen traveling west bound on 45th street driving erratically. The vehicle should have right front end damage. The victim, homeless gentleman, was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
