On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, just before 2 pm, a student from Everglades Preparatory Academy, 360 East Main Street, Pahokee, was walking in the breezeway between classes when he heard shots fired in his direction.  The victim ducked into a classroom and was not injured.   

Witnesses tell deputies that 3 or 4 black males were seen either running from the area or on bicycles leaving the area. 

A perimeter was set up utilizing K-9 units and the PBSO Helicopter, suspects were not located.
