On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at approximately 2:45 pm, deputies responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of 18th Ave N, Lake Worth. When deputies arrived they located a male shot in the upper torso. PBC Fire Rescue arrived, treated the victim and arranged for him to be air lifted to Delray Medical Center.
What we know so far is the victim and the suspect, known to each other, agreed to meet in the 1200 block of 18th Ave N, Lake Worth. An altercation took place. The victim ran and the suspect followed. The suspect began shooting at the victim while chasing him. The victim was struck by gunfire in the upper torso. The suspect ran back to the meeting location and fled in the victim’s vehicle a dark green Ford Explorer Sport Trac.
The suspect is a black male, with dreads, last seen wearing a black shirt and navy blue pants.
