Deputies are just getting on scene of a shooting that occurred at 1 Ricks Drive, Greenacres.  It appears there was an altercation between two people which resulted in a shooting.  Condition of parties involved is unknown.  All individuals involved have been located on scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are in route to the scene to investigate further.

More information will be released when it becomes available.

** UPDATE ** Detectives are SEEKING THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE with finding a black semi-automatic handgun that may have been picked up by a passerby in the area of Lake Worth Road between Jog Road and Haverhill Road.

Here are the facts as I know them.  As of 4:30 pm on 1/30/17. 

• Detectives are still awaiting a search warrant to enter the home to investigate further.
• Detectives are investigating this shooting as a Homicide.
• A female is deceased, her name will not be released until detectives can positively identify her.

We have a male in custody.  His name will not be released until the female has been positively identified.  The victim and male are known to each other.
