A man was shot in the back on Sunday afternoon and was taken to Delray Medical Center in serious condition, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

The victim was with three other men when someone shot at them at about 3 p.m., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.

The shooting, which happened near Covenant Villas off Northwest Sixth Street, is under investigation.
