Manhunt on in Delray for two men who led FHP on crash-ridden car chase

The Florida Highway Patrol and other police agencies are searching for two men in Delray Beach who gave troopers chase from West Palm Beach, crashing into several cars along the way, the FHP said.

An FHP trooper tried to pull over a speeding Crown Victoria about 8 a.m. Friday on northbound Interstate 95 near Okeechobee Boulevard, Lt. Tim Frith said.

The two men in the car pulled off at Okeechobee, made a U-turn, then headed southbound on I-95, Frith said, sideswiping about four cars before exiting on Linton Boulevard. No one was seriously injured.

The men then headed east and crashed the Crown Victoria into a BMW then a parked car, Frith said. The two men then escaped on foot. Late Friday, police were still searching for the men.
