Lake Clarke Shores police seek man for stealing prescription medicine

LAKE CLARKE SHORES – Police are looking for a man who stole more than $700 worth of prescription medicine from a pharmacy while armed Wednesday night.

The suspect walked into Farmacia Las Americas, 1800 Forest Hill Blvd., around 5:45 p.m. demanding oxycodone and Percocet.

He pushed the people who were in the store at the time – owner Ana Jiminez, 30, Xiomara Rios, 39, Danuta Galecki, 46, and Carlos Rios, 43 – to the back of the pharmacy behind the counter and while waving his pistol around, and demanded the pills be put in a trash bag, the police report says. The pills were worth $730.66.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a light colored baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, and jean shorts. He was seen wearing a blue glove on his left hand, the report says.

The victims of the robbery saw a four door royal blue-colored car waiting for the suspect, the report says.
