Greenacres Police seek public’s help in identifying suspect in Wal-Mart robbery

Greenacres Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who at a local Wal-Mart showed a gun to an employee while demanding money and then showed the gun to another employee pleading for help on how to get out of the store. The man came into the Wal-Mart at 6294 Forest Hill Blvd. around 6 p.m. Saturday. He approached an employee at the register and displayed the gun while demanding money, according to police. The employee fled the area and ran to the back of the store. The man then tried escaping through several exterior emergency doors but couldn’t figure out how to get out. He went to the back of the store and pointed the gun at another employee, demanding that she tell him how to get out of the store. That employee also ran away. The man was able to leave the store and was last seen running east behind the store toward Sherwood Forest Boulevard. The would-be robber is described as a black man, about 6-foot tall, between 20 and 30 years old, and has a medium build. He was wearing a white hooded long-sleeved shirt, jeans and some type of covering on his head. He may have long hair, police said.
