Delray Beach Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide that happened after 2 a.m. today when an argument turned violent outside of a Caribbean nightclub.

Detectives say that 23-year-old Niherson David Gustave of Boynton Beach was fatally shot outside of Excell nightclub at 1041 South Congress Ave. His friends then put him into a car, drove him to Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach and left him on the curb outside of the hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead. When officers responding to a shooting call arrived at the scene, they found shell casings, property belonging to the victim and blood on the pavement.

Detectives are piecing together the events that led to the shooting and have not made an arrest. They have talked to multiple witnesses but are still seeking additional information. They say earlier in the evening Gustave, his friends, and another group of men began arguing inside Excell and were all ejected from the club. The shooting happened in the parking lot outside in front of a group of people, and detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the shooting or the argument beforehand.
