Boynton Beach Shooting

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – A gold Lincoln Navigator struck a house in the 2000 block of Northeast Third Street Monday night.

Arriving officers found a dazed driver who was shot in the chest. A loaded weapon was found in the car as well.

23 year old Benton Lineau of 215 N.E. 9th Avenue was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he later died.

Beryl Phillips, the home’s owner, didn’t know Lineau and didn’t hear any gunshots. She said she was asleep until the SUV plowed into her bedroom wall.

“I was scared to death… I just knew I was gone. My bed was to the wall, back up to the wall, the impact moved my bed to where it is now,” Phillips said.

Another neighbor did hear loud noises, but couldn’t tell if they came from a pistol, a rifle or was the impact of the vehicle hitting the house.

Boynton Beach Police say they also they received a call from Bethesda Memorial Hospital that a man with multiple gunshot wounds was dropped off in the emergency room.

He has been identified as Dieuny Pasius, 19, of 301 Ocean Parkway. He’s listed in critical condition.

Phillips says Pasius was not in the car when it crashed into her bedroom wall.
