Boynton Beach Police still searching for Thomas Frederick

The second of three men suspected of beating and robbing a man on Aug. 20 has been arrested, records show.

Curtis Bernard Pearson, 33, was booked early today and was ordered held without bond.

Trollis McGriff, 26, was arrested Aug. 21 and charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery. He’s also being held without bond.

A third man, Thomas Frederick, 27, is wanted on charges of robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery and carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony.

According to a Boynton Beach Police report, Michael Riou, 50, also of Boynton Beach, came to the police department lobby, where he was treated by paramedics for bruises and cuts.

He said he had been at a home in the 3200 block of Northwest Second Street, soliciting sex, when three men approached him.

He said one pulled a handgun, and the three demanded his money and things.

Before he could act, he said, he was struck in the face by a pipe and fell; he said the three began punching and kicking him until he passed out.

When he awoke, he said, he was missing his wallet with about $420, along with his keys.

Riou said he recognized one attacker as a man he knew as “Troll.”

Police identified Troll as McGriff, and Riou picked him from a photo lineup, the report said.

McGriff admitted being at the robbery but denied taking part. He identified the others as Pearson and Frederick.

Pearson was arrested in Palm Beach County 12 times between 1998 and 2005.

He was in state prison from July 2001 to May 2002, from July 2002 to May 2003, and from October 2005 to May, on Palm Beach County convictions for grand theft auto, aggravated assault, and fleeing.

Jail records show one previous arrest for McGriff, from 2007, for failing to appear in court on traffic charges.

Frederick was arrested six times between 2004 and February, on charges that include domestic battery, resisting arrest, and fleeing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thomas Frederick is urged to contact Detective Juan Montoya at 742-6163, Sgt. Paul Sheridan at 742-6133 or if you’d like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS or text tips @ tips@cspbc.com
