Boynton Beach Police are investigating a hit and run that injured a 31-year-old man just after midnight near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and North Federal Highway.
Preliminary investigation has determined that Carlton Williams was crossing North Federal Highway at around 12:15 a.m., when he was struck by a dark in color pick-up truck traveling south on Federal Highway.
A witness heard the crash, and then saw the truck flee from the scene at a high rate of speed. Fragments from the suspect vehicle found in the roadway indicate it may be a Chevrolet pick-up truck.
Williams was taken to Delray Medical Center via trauma alert, where he is being treated for his injuries.
