Boynton Beach Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Bank Atlantic

Boynton Beach Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who attempted to rob a Bank Atlantic branch on New Year’s Eve. The man walked into the bank at 100 N. Congress Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. and told a teller that he needed a withdrawal slip. He then wrote “robbery 100’s and 50’s” on the slip and handed it to the teller. The suspect fled the bank when the teller said she had to walk over to the drive-thru area to get the money drawer.

He is described as a white male, early 30’s, about 6-feet-tall, medium build, with short dark hair, a distinct body odor, bloodshot eyes and a mole on the side of his nose.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Detective Midian Diaz at 561-742-6113 or if you’d like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477) or text tips to tips@cspbc.com
