Boca Raton Police investigating a robbery outside of the victims home after being followed from Walgreens

On Monday, June 27, just before noon, Boca Raton Police officers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred at 73 Lariat Circle.

Officers met with the victim, Jan Pavlov, who said he had just arrived home from shopping at a nearby Walgreens in Delray Beach. Pavlov said he parked in the driveway, had turned and was facing his car when he was punched on the ear from behind. As Pavlov turned to engage his assailant, a second suspect came across his yard to join in the attack. During the struggle, one of the suspects grabbed the Walgreens bag Pavlov was holding in his hand, ripping it open and spilling the contents onto the ground.

The suspects left, without taking anything from the victim, in a black four-door sedan, possibly either a Volkswagen or Ford. Detectives went to the Delray Beach Walgreens and viewed a grainy surveillance video, which showed the victim’s car leaving and being followed by the suspect’s car.

If anyone has information about this crime, they are asked to call Detective Joseph Smith at (561) 620-6140 or if you’d like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477) or text tips to tips@cspbc.com
