3 men rob Riviera Beach Police Chief’s wife

RIVIERA BEACH – The wife of Riviera Beach’s police chief was robbed at gunpoint outside her home in the Lone Pine Estates neighborhood Monday night, a city spokeswoman said.

Ethel Williams, the 46-year-old wife of Police Chief Clarence Williams, was getting out of her car in front of her house about 9:30 p.m. when three men approached her, spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown said.

One of the men held a handgun and they demanded Williams’ purse. She handed it over and they fled on foot.

Brown said the suspects were still on the loose Tuesday. Anyone with information was urged to call Riviera Beach police at (561) 845-4123 or if you’d like to remain anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS.
