Road rage victim, 16, shot in suburban Lake worth

Deputies still are looking for a man who allegedly shot another motorist Thursday in a road rage incident, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office.

The victim, Misael Casarrunias, 16, of Palm Springs, told deputies that he was in his 2004 Ford Excursion at the intersection of Lake Worth and Kirk roads when a motorcycle pulled up alongside him.

He and the man on the motorcycle "exchanged words," according to the sheriff's office. Casarrunias turned into a neighborhood to hide from the motorcyclist. But when he drove back onto Kirk Road a few minutes later, the man reappeared and shot into his vehicle, according to sheriff's office. The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m.

Casarrunias was shot twice in the torso. He had been treated and released from JFK Medical Center as of today, according to the sheriff's office.

The motorcyclist is described as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s. He was riding a multi-colored motorcycle with a matching helmet.
