Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning double shooting in the Royal Palm Beach Acreage
On Friday, January 15, 2010 at 1:48 am, dispatch received several 911 calls from residents who heard shots fired near 14794 75th Lane North, Loxahatchee. Once Deputies arrived they were flagged down by a black male. The black male asked Deputies for help because his brother and a black female had been shot. The couple had been asleep in their bedroom when an unknown number of subjects opened fire into their bedroom. The victims were identified as Charles Morris (B/M) DOB: 3/09/85 and Jamie Cecil (B/F). Both subjects sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The black male was not injured and was unable to provide any suspect information.
A search warrant was obtained. There is no suspect information and this case remains open pending further information.
Both victims are expected to survive.
