Boynton police need help identifying auto burglary, fraud suspects

Boynton Beach police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying three men suspected of at least seven auto burglaries along North Congress Avenue.

On Saturday, the men are believed to have broken into a white Ford F-150 parked outside 24-Hour Fitness in the 1100 block of North Congress Avenue. A driver's license and two credit cards were stolen, police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said.

About 45 minutes later, Slater said, one of the credit cards was used to buy several thousand dollars worth of items at Best Buy and Target in the shopping plaza on the northeast corner of Old Boynton Road and Congress Avenue.
On Monday afternoon, police responded to reports of six other car burglaries — at Crosspointe Elementary School, Chuck E. Cheese, BJ's Coin Laundry and Bru's Room. All of the burglaries occurred within a one-hour time frame.

Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Peter Zampini, at 561-742-6151 or if you'd like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
