BOCA RATON — Boca Raton police are investigating a bank robbery and shooting that occurred on Friday at Florida Capital Bank at 1801 South Federal Highway.
A man brandishing a gun entered the bank around 6 p.m., a Boca Police news release said. The man ordered the bank's employees into a bank safe. While in the safe, the bank manager and the suspect engaged in a struggle. The suspect fired his gun and the bank manager was struck in her abdomen area, the release said.
She was taken to the Delray Medical Center where she is stable condition. The suspect took an undetermined amount of money.
