The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a burglary and assault suspect.

On October 15, 2011, at approximately 5:45 AM, a burglary to an occupied residence with an assault occurred in the San Matera development in Palm Beach Gardens (northeast of the Gardens Mall).  The suspect forced his way into the victim’s residence where there was a physical altercation between the victim and the suspect.  The victim was able to escape and run outside the residence.  The suspect then left and was last seen walking away from the residence.  The victim received minor injuries.  No property was taken from the residence.

 

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 – 50 years old, approximately 5’9” tall, 170-180 pounds, blond or reddish light colored hair with a receding hairline and unshaven.  He was wearing a red or brown tee-shirt and possibly tan shorts.  The suspect was also described as being very tan as if he works outside. The victim was able to describe the suspect well enough to develop an artist’s sketch of the suspect.
