FBI is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a man who robbed a Citibank office in Boynton Beach

Federal agents are asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down a man who robbed a Citibank office in Boynton Beach on Monday.

The man, who can be seen in surveillance photos wearing a flopping fishing cap and sunglasses, walked into the bank at 10086 South Jog Road at about 2:20 p.m. Monday, displayed a gun and demanded money from an employee, Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said in a statement released this afternoon.

There were customers in the bank at the time. The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot. But the bank’s cameras did get a couple shots of him before he left, according to the statement.
FBI officials declined to give a description of the alleged robber, but he appears heavy and dark-skinned in the photos. In addition to the aforementioned attire, he was wearing a dark short-sleeved T-shirt, tan knee-length shorts and white sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the bank robber’s identity is asked to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101 or if you’d like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477) or text tips to tips@cspbc.com
