Delray Beach police searching for van used to steal tires

Delray Beach police are searching for a van with a unique paint job. They believe it may have been used to steal tires.

On March 14, detectives said, a surveillance camera recorded the dark-colored GMC or Chevy van leaving the parking lot near T.K. Art Services, 1235 SW 4th Ave., police said.

Two tires were stolen from a 24-foot box truck at that location, and it’s believed the occupants of the van were involved in the theft, according to investigators.

The van has what appears to be a mural of a beach scene on the driver’s side. Police believe the theft occurred at 8 p.m. the night before.

Police are asking anyone with information on the van or its owner to contact Det. Brian Cambell 561-243-6209 or if you’d like to stay anonymous and be eligible for up to $1,000 REWARD call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS or text tips @ tips@cspbc.com
