The Delray Beach Police Department needs the public’s assistance locating the Driver of a Hit-And-Run Crash

Delray Beach Police Department traffic homicide investigators have identified the make and model of the vehicle that critically injured a pedestrian early Saturday morning but left before police officers arrived. They say a  new model white 4-door Honda Civic (such as the one in the attached photos) was westbound on West Atlantic Avenue around 3 a.m. when it hit a pedestrian, 39-year-old Scott Matesky, who was transported to Delray Medical Center in critical condition. Matestky had been walking north on Northwest 10th Avenue.

The Civic will likely have significant damage on the front of the vehicle, including hood and possible windshield damage. Investigators are asking the driver to come forward and provide a statement to assist in the crash investigation.
