Boca Raton Police need the public’s assistance identifying an armed bank robber.

On Wednesday, July 6 at 4:00 p.m., Boca Raton Police officers responded to the Regents Bank at 568 East Yamato Road regarding a bank robbery.

When officers arrived on scene, they met with witnesses and bank employees who advised that the male suspect entered the bank and walked to the teller window. The suspect put a blue bag on the counter as he pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded the money from the cash drawers. The teller said she did not comply with his demands and instead dropped down below the counter. The suspect left the bank without obtaining any cash and was last seen running northeast through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40’s or 50’s, approximately 6′ tall with a thin build. He was wearing a tan hat, a tan long-sleeved shirt, blue pants and had a bandanna covering his face.
