Boca Raton Police are investigating a burglary to Sun Gas Station

On Thursday, April 28 at about 5:40 a.m., Boca Raton Police officers responded to a burglary at the Sun Gas station, 3007 West Yamato Road.

The store clerk, Martha Angeles, told officers she arrived for work at 5:30 a.m. and entered the business through the north door. Once inside, Angeles turned on the lights and saw several pieces of broken glass lying on the floor near the front of the business. Angeles said she went outside and called police.

Officers reviewed the surveillance video with the store owner. At 4:54 a.m., the video showed a dark colored vehicle backing into a parking space in front of the business and a black male getting out of the car. The suspect smashed the lower portion of the front door and entered the business. The suspect left through the front door, taking several hundred dollars in US coins.

Suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 20-25 years old, wearing a black baseball cap and bright white sneakers.
