Sgt Jim DeFago Recognized for 15 Years Service to Crime Stoppers

At a recent Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County meeting, Sgt. Jim DeFago was recognized for his 15 years of exemplary service as the Program Coordinator for Crime Stoppers and Student Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County. The Crime Stoppers Unit is a specialized department supported by Sheriff Ed Bieluch. Sgt. DeFago is the liaison between this non-profit civilian organization and law enforcement.

"Sgt. DeFago is the most dedicated Program Coordinator we have seen and is responsible for making Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County one of the top organizations in the country", said Chairman Shwiner. "Sgt. DeFago was the recipient of the Corallee Wagner Award, the top award presented by Crime Stoppers International, and was instrumental in bringing the first Student Crime Stoppers program to Palm Beach County".
